Santam’s Claim department is seeking an Administrative Clerk in Hill on Empire, Johannesburg.
Job Description
The Admin clerk is in charge of registering new claims. This position comprises ensuring proper claim registration within the agreed-upon service level agreement and performing various administrative activities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- File claims within agreed-upon service level agreements.
- Ensure the accuracy of data collected on the Santam and Broker systems.
- Based on the information provided, ensure that claims are lodged against the right policy section.
- Communicate with brokers.
- Correction of errors/data discovered on previously registered claims.
- Once a claim is registered, send infographics to clients.
- Save claim documents in document storage.
- Generate documents from the broker system as needed.
- If necessary, schedule claims with the Desktop team.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet)
- 2 – 3 years of Claims Services experience (Short-term Insurance)
- Knowledge/experience in Personal Lines and Commercial Lines
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to operate under pressure
- Accurate and rapid typing skills
