ROLE SUMMARY:

Reddford House The Hills is a prestigious private school in Pretoria’s Mooikloof Glen.

The three pillars of the Reddford House approach to teaching are lateral thinking, comprehension, and inventive application of skills and concepts. The professionally designed interiors complement the vibrant, joyous educational atmosphere of Reddford House, where students are actively encouraged to uncover their unique skills, talents, and abilities in order to become well-rounded, lifelong learners.

We need a passionate and capable College Receptionist who can give inspiring and customized lectures that meet the needs of individual students. The ideal applicant will be well-organized, love working as part of a supportive team, and be eager to contribute to our school’s life. This is a full-time position that will begin in the fall of 2024.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and intriguing EGD lessons.
  • Create a loving educational environment that encourages active learning.
  • Be professional in terms of punctuality, behavior, job standards, and student homework.
  • Evaluate, reflect on, and improve teaching methods.
  • Be willing to continually improve your teaching through personal and school-wide professional development.
  • Teach extra lessons on two evenings per week as needed.
  • Create high-quality resources for pupils.
  • Respond to parent e-mails and phone calls within 24 hours.
  • Demonstrate devotion to all aspects of Reddford House.
  • Attend all important occasions at the Head’s discretion.
  • Set and grade tests, as well as any other forms of student evaluation.
  • Report comments should be written.
  • The position holder is expected to perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the School Head/line manager.

A competent receptionist is essential to the successful operation of any firm, acting as the initial point of contact for visitors, clients, and workers. A receptionist should have a varied skill set that extends beyond answering phones and greeting clients in order to flourish in this profession.

Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must be able to communicate information clearly and professionally to a wide range of people.

Customer Service: It is critical to provide excellent customer service. When dealing with inquiries and requests, always be pleasant, patient, and empathic.

Management of appointments, timetables, and administrative activities necessitates great organizational skills. It is also necessary to be able to multitask effectively.

Problem-Solving: We may confront unforeseen situations and must be able to discover solutions swiftly.

Computer Proficiency: Knowledge of office software, email, and phone systems is essential for daily activities.

Adaptability: The ability to adapt to new events while remaining calm under duress is essential.

Multilingualism: Knowing various languages can be an asset.

Conflict Resolution: The ability to de-escalate confrontations and manage tough situations diplomatically is a valued skill.

Time Management: Prioritizing tasks and properly managing time are critical to achieving deadlines and maintaining a seamless workflow.
