Rand Water is inviting people with Grade 10/Std 8 or Abet level 3 to apply for Rand Water Cleaners x10 positions.

Job Description

To keep the offices, workshop, plant, restrooms, paving, and area around the building clean.

Duties

  • Clean all ablution and shower rooms twice daily, and ensure enough soap, toilet paper, hand towels, air fresheners, and SHE packets.
  • Report any wrongdoing, building damage, or furniture removal to the supervisor.
  • Clean the paved areas surrounding and outside the building room, workshops, plant rooms, generator rooms, and restrooms.
  • Clean and sweep the parking area platforms and the building’s entrance.
  • Ensure daily cleaning of conference room entrances and interiors, as well as dustbin service.
  • Gathering papers and dirt on the ground and in the garden
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using cleaning products.
  • Cleaning of the railings and the stairwell.
  • Cleaning within 3m high windows, microwaves, and refrigerators.
  • The wrapping of walls.
  • Clean door handles with brass polish.
  • Clean the offices and open plan.
  • Assist with furniture relocation as needed.
  • Prepare a waste bag for collection by the service provider.
  • Dusting of desks, cabinets, chairs, and furniture in both offices and open-plan areas.
  • Weekly cleaning of the roof, solar panels, and manager parking.

Requirements

  • Grade 10/Std 8
  • ABET level 3 will be an advantage.
  • 1 year of relevant cleaning experience.
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Stock tacking basic knowledge
