Job Purpose

Nedbank invites youth to apply for cloud learnership. During the one-year contract, learn, grow, and develop skills and competencies while gaining experience in diverse organizations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Completed work within agreed-upon time frames.
  • Ensure that delivery duties are completed by completing allocated work accurately, consistently, and within agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Ensure that all work meets quality, quantity, and turnaround time criteria by accepting responsibility for tasks and activities allocated.
  • Contribute to the department’s/business’s efficiency by being cost conscious.
  • Comply with relevant policies, processes, and standards by expanding your knowledge and understanding of the business area to which you have been allocated.
  • Exhibit effective self-management by completing specified chores and activities.
  • Continuously improve job assignments by applying acquired knowledge and experience.
  • Deliver assignments and duties in accordance with the agreed-upon program (Kuyhasa and Letsema).
  • Assist in teamwork by accomplishing team aims and objectives while being supervised.
  • Identify work impediments and finish tasks on time by following through on tasks and providing feedback and updates to the team leader/supervisor.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of working methods by recognizing and suggesting possible improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of a culture suitable to the attainment of transformational goals by engaging in Nedbank Culture building efforts (e.g., staff surveys, etc.).
  • Participate in and support corporate social responsibility programs aimed at achieving company objectives (for example, providing pro bono digital forensic examination training to external parties).
  • Identify and promote changes to tools, policies, and procedures in order to offer value to Nedbank.
  • Add value to Nedbank by finding and recommending opportunities to improve or enhance processes, as well as supporting the implementation of tools, policies, and procedures.
  • Keep up to date on laws and other industry changes that affect your work by reading relevant newsletters, visiting websites, and attending sessions.
  • Understand and accept the Nedbank Vision and Values by exhibiting them to team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that your contribution and participation contribute to the team’s success.
  • Create and manage one’s own career with the help and advice of management, the department, and coworkers.
  • Improve personal capabilities and stay current on advancements in one’s field of expertise by identifying training courses and career advancement opportunities for oneself with input and feedback from management.
  • Ensure personal progress and effectiveness in tasks and responsibilities by completing all learning activities, gaining experience, and obtaining and/or maintaining certifications within prescribed time frames.
  • Ensure knowledge management, continuity, and team success by participating constructively in a varied team and sharing expertise with the team.
  • Develop yourself by attending agreed-upon coaching sessions with your appointed coach. Ensure that improvement is tracked by providing feedback to the coach on one’s personal development.
  • Take charge of your own career growth by responding to input from your coach and peers. Attend learning and development interventions as indicated by the Learnership/Trainee program and offer feedback on Coach Delivered Program assignments to ensure personal progress.
  • Manage colleagues’ and clients’ expectations by communicating effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective internal relationships by informing relevant parties when tasks and deadlines are not completed.
