Job Position: Registry Clerk – Security and Facilities Management Services

Location: Centurion, South Africa

Salary: R202 233 – R235 611 per annum

Responsibilities

  • Provide registry services, such as receiving and registering hand-delivered files and papers, keeping accurate records, and maintaining registers.
  • Provide efficient filling and record management services: Opening and closing files in accordance with the record classification system, correct allocation of reference numbers in accordance with the approved file plan, filling/storage, tracing (electronically/manually), and retrieval of documents and files, complete index cards for all files, and ensuring safe custody of all records.
  • Archive and/or dispose of documents: Sort and package files for archiving and dissemination.
  • Compile list of documents to be archived and submit to the supervisor, Dispose, and transfer qualifying material to national
    archives.
  • Distribute and collect documents on HRM & D matters.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Senior certificate or equivalent qualification

Skills and Competencies

  • Problem solving, planning and organization, verbal and written communication, and computer literacy.
  • Extensive knowledge and comprehension of: the filling system,
  • Mail process handbook,
  • Act to Promote Access to Information, and National Archives
