Job Description
The Engineering Learnership will be centered on the activities of Minopex SA.
The goal of this position is to train and develop Learners to become qualified Engineering Artisans.
Duties And Responsibilities
Learners must successfully finish a structured learnership training program and must be prepared and willing to train and work in the training center, metallurgical factories, and so on. Learners will work under the close/direct supervision of Qualified Artisans.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 with Maths & Science or N2-N6 or NCV Level 4 with relevant trade subjects:
- FITTING (including Machining): N2 Fitting Trade Theory, Engineering Drawing, Maths & Engineering Science.
- PLATER WELDER: N2 Plater Theory, Plating and Structural Steel Drawings, Maths & Engineering Science.
- ELECTRICAL: N2 Electrical Trade Theory, Industrial Electronics, Maths & Engineering Science.
- RIGGER ROPESMAN: N2 Rigging Trade Theory, Engineering drawing, Maths, Engineering Science.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Capable of working under duress
- Capable of working both as part of a team and independently
- technical knowledge
- A valid driver’s license will be useful.
- Applicants must submit to and pass a medical fitness assessment as well as any other assessments considered appropriate for the field of application.
- For selection purposes, candidates will also be subjected to a psychometric assessment and a panel interview.
- Candidates must be willing to travel for practical training.
