Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to the phone in a professional manner.
- Call screening and reliable call routing
- Take precise messages and send them out on time.
- Welcome guests and guide them to the proper person.
- Fax sorting and dissemination
- Reception area Courier documents and parcels as needed.
- Incoming and outgoing mail screening and routing – hand delivered (courier)
- Assist with other responsibilities as directed by the manager.
- Dispute referral forms should be captured on CMS (Case Management System).
- Maintain a record of all Labour Court Review Applications received.
- Assist parties in filling out the Dispute Referral Form.
- Assist as an interpreter in DRC cases as needed.
- As needed, assist case management officers.

- The ability to work under pressure and give above-average service.
- Must be courteous and aggressive at all times.
- Ability to work independently and with initiative, as well as problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop strong, effective connections with all stakeholders, including Council members, clients, and management.
- Adopt an acceptable interpersonal style when completing activities, changing behavior based on the tasks and individuals involved.
- A basic understanding of the Labour Relations Act and the MIBCO Collective Agreement would be advantageous.
- Must be a good team player and meet the Managing Commissioner’s objectives.
- It is necessary to be thorough in carrying out tasks/instructions, etc.
- Must be patient and perform well under pressure.
- Superior verbal communication and listening abilities.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) or a comparable qualification is required.
- Customer service is vital (callers, service providers, and agents).
- Professional and presentable demeanor
- Fluency in English and multilingualism would be advantageous.
- Computer literacy is required.
