Job Description
We are looking for appropriate applicants to apply for the post of Food Service Assistant at our Fourways Kitchen. The incumbent will be responsible for responsibilities that assist the Catering Department.
Please keep in mind that this is both an internal and external advertisement, thus it pertains to fixed-term contracts, casual employees, and potential external candidates.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Relevant qualification in the Hospitality / Catering sector or studying towards a hospitality qualification.
- Minimum 12 months of catering experience
- Driver’s license (optional)
- Own vehicle (optional)
Skills and Competencies
- Passion for practical and meticulous work
- Honesty and dependability
- Strong hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work quickly and safely
- Good personal hygiene Avoid skin sensitivities to food and detergents.
- Have good communication abilities.
- Must be able to work collaboratively.
- Be capable of bending, standing, and lifting.
- Be willing to travel and communicate any potential issues.
- Interest and passion for the food service sector.
Duties And Responsiblities
- To ensure a high level of customer service within the area of responsibility
- To complete all the required check lists
- Perform related work as assigned
- To ensure that all the catering equipment is taken care of and the premises are left hygienically clean and tidy at the end of the shift.
- To report any Client Complaint or comments to the Team leader
