The successful candidate will be in charge of developing and sustaining a safe patrolling activity. The VIP (Security) Officer is responsible for preventing loss and theft and reporting any irregularities or suspicious behavior.

Requirements

  • Grade C.
  • 1 – 2 year’s Security experience.
  • Registered with PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority).
  • Having a Valid driver’s license will be advantageous

What You’ll Do For The Brand: 

  • A VIP (Security) Officer must be present 15 minutes prior to the Branch’s opening.
  • In the presence of the VIP (Security) Officer, the Branch Manager or Senior Team Leader will open the Branch.
  • The VIP (Security) Officer must conduct a perimeter sweep before the Branch opens.
  • Before the Branch is opened, the VIP (Security) Officer must inspect the premises for any suspicious movements.
  • The VIP (Security) Officer must be exceedingly cautious and aware of their surroundings at all times prior to the Branch’s opening and closing.
  • Once the Branch is open, a VIP (Security) Officer must undertake a floor walk to ensure that everything is in order.
  • Before the Branch Manager or Senior Team Leader can continue with their daily inspections, the VIP (Security) Officer must validate that all observation checks have been performed.
  • One VIP (Security) Officer must be positioned away from the door during opening and closing, observing his or her colleague and checking for any risk.
  • Patrolling should include both inside and outside the Branch door, as well as any back areas and parking spaces.
  • During shift changes and equipment handover, ensure that all two-way radios are fully charged.
  • Charge the batteries overnight so they are ready to use at the start of your shift.
  • Ensure that all panic buttons and two-way radios are in good working order and stored safely.
  • In the event of an emergency, VIP (Security) Officers must carry their panic buttons, two-way radios, and earpieces to ensure open communication and ease of access.
  • The VIP (Security) Officer assigned to the searching zone must utilize the scanner to search all visitors, including team members, who enter the Branch.
  • Ensure that the Branch door or gate is always maintained closed in the search zone.
  • VIP (Security) Officers are not permitted to conduct cross-gender scans on guests entering the Branch.
  • Only male VIP (Security) Officers may scan male guests; female VIP (Security) Officers may scan female guests.
  • VIP (Security) Officers must guarantee that female baggage is searched with a stick. Male guests are not permitted to carry their own luggage.
  • The VIP (Security) Officer is responsible for directing traffic on our property, ensuring the free flow of foot traffic, and controlling the number of vehicles entering and exiting the building.
  • At the end of the day, the VIP (Security) Officer must minimize entry by sliding close one door to ensure security and reduce high risk.
  • Hollywoodbets VIP (Security) Officers are required to attend Branch Meetings when alerted by the Branch Manager.

  • The VIP (Security) Officer is the guest’s first point of contact.
  • Make a good first impression by greeting the guest with “Good day, and welcome to Hollywood.”
  • Always strive to give excellent guest service by remaining friendly, helpful, polite, and respectful.
  • Proactively resolve visitor problems and ensure that guest feedback is presented properly and effectively.
  • Create a guest-centric culture inside the Branch and uphold the “service with a smile” mentality at all times.
  • Always treat our guests with respect and maintain a positive attitude.
  • When guests leave the branch, the VIP (Security) Officer should wish them a happy evening or night and invite them back. “Goodbye, Sir; please return.”

Compliance:

  • VIP (Security) Officers must be outfitted in full Amadoda uniforms with name badges before the start of their shift. (Only black shoes, black socks, and white vet).
  • Scan all visitors to the premises, including team members.
  • Be aware of guests leaving the Branch; note if they came in with something you noticed and are leaving without it.
  • No baggage are permitted in the premises.
  • No weapons or firearms are permitted on the premises (save for official law enforcement officers).
  • No one under the age of 18 is permitted on the grounds.
  • If you’re dealing with a problematic customer, alert your coworkers and hit the emergency button before the situation spirals out of control.
  • Alcohol is not permitted on the premises of branches that do not have a liquor license.
  • No team member is permitted to place credit-bets.
  • On-duty VIP (Security) officers are not permitted to wager with Amadoda.
  • On-duty VIP (Security) officers are not permitted to use the Limited pay-out machine.

Code of Conduct:

  • You will not sit or recline, use your cell phone, or eat while on duty.
  • On-duty smoking is prohibited.
  • You will not report for duty if you are intoxicated.
  • You will not withdraw your post. This could result in disciplinary action being taken against you.
  • You are not permitted to sleep while on duty. This will result in disciplinary action being taken against you.
  • While at your post, you will not engage in informal interactions with friends or other team members.
  • You will not take the guest’s tips.
