Job Purpose

Responsibilities

Clerk

Job Purpose

To keep the road traffic accident location database up to date.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that road networks are up to date.
  • Keep an eye on site conditions and update locations as needed.
  • Identify new road locations.
  • Where necessary, conduct site visits.
  • Complete data capture of all information and convert to GIS as needed.
  • Further related duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • An appropriate level of secondary education.
  • A valid driver’s license is required (Code B).
  • Three months of relevant experience.
  • A thorough understanding of the Metro Area’s road network, as well as competence with map reading and orientation to the site or location.
  • Matric/Grade 12 is preferred.
  • 6 Months relevant experience.

Principal Clerk

Job Purpose

Monitors material/item movement to/from the Depot Store, monitors particular performance objectives, and performs clerical activities/tasks connected with checking, confirming, updating, completing, and submitting documentation, forms, and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and execution of specified activities/tasks related to controlling the receipt, storage, and utilization of items/materials to/from the Depot Store.
  • Completes forms, schedules, and papers while processing transactional information on specific computerized programs (JD Edwards).
  • Monitors and reports to the Superintendent on specific aspects of performance and risk, as well as providing generalist support.
  • Provide basic first aid to staff

Requirements

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Certificate in Basic First Aid must be completed within a certain time frame from the date of appointment.
  • 12 months of related experience
  • Computer Literacy.
  • 18 Months of relevant experience is preferred
  • A certificate accredited by SAQA is preferred
