Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an experienced Cashier and Casual Cashier for one of their stores in various locations. Assist customers at the time of sale while providing a world-class shopping experience.
Customer transactions should be recorded on the Dis-Chem operating system in accordance with company policies and standard operating procedures, with zero tolerance for mistakes and the eradication of fraud risk.
Job Description
- Adhere to the customer service policies and procedures of Dis-Chem.
- Build a professional relationship with your customers.
- Customer complaints and compliments should be directed to the Frontline Supervisor or store management.
- Keep up with the latest promotions and sales.
- Dis-Chem 5 star communication guidelines must be followed and managed.
- Ensure that the supervisor approves and signs off on all line voids and price modifications.
- Receive and process all payments (bank cards, cash, coupons, vouchers and other means of payment) approved/recognized by Dis-Chem.
- Ensure that cash is placed in the drop safe in accordance with Dis-SOPs. Chem’s.
- Make sure that all outgoing items/scripts/stock are scanned and paid for.
- Handle daily takings with confidentiality and only disclose with management.
- Address questions about store merchandise.
- Follow the client turnover hourly rate.
- Make sure that colleagues and clients are not at risk.
- Be responsible for the cash flow
- Replace merchandise for customers and accept returned goods from customers, when you are authorized.
- Process all loyalty cards, including those from our accelerator partners (Momentum Multiply, Discovery Health Care, Legacy Lifestyle, Medihelp Lifestage,eBucks, and ABSA Rewards).
- Ensure that your code and password are only used by you, are secure, and are changed on a regular basis.
- Make certain that all money is kept securely and safely inside the till.
- Be on the lookout for suspicious behavior and report it to management.
- Follow the security policies and procedures of Dis-Chem.
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12
- A minimum of 6 months of till/cashier operations experience is required.
- Must be a South African citizen
- Have clear credit and criminal records
