Clicks group is inviting people to apply for available positions in their various stores of Clicks Shop Assistant Cashier.
Job Description
To provide service excellence by providing efficient customer service, point of sale (POS) operational activities, and in-store merchandising that results in a great customer experience.
Job Objectives
- All operational actions at the point of sale must be completed in a timely and effective way.
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise and collecting payment for things purchased, as well as processing Clubcard benefits.
- Ensure that cash is handled safely at all times.
- To aggressively market and enroll new Clicks clubcard members in order to meet clubcard participation targets.
- Making customers aware of specials in order to increase sales and ensuring clients “feel good and pay less”
- To provide excellent customer service by serving as a brand ambassador, being visible, and providing polite and professional service.
- Perform and maintain all merchandising and general housekeeping duties efficiently and in accordance with store and visual merchandise standards.
- To live and drive the corporate values in order to achieve the Group’s ambition of becoming the customer’s first choice health and beauty shop.
- To keep up to date on products, ranges, specials, and events in order to deliver accurate information to customers at all times.
Requirements
- Grade 12/Matric
- Maths 50% and English 50% at the Grade 12 level
- Experience in a customer-facing position within a retail/FMCG store operations setting is desirable.
Knowledge
- Calculations in basic mathematics
- Retail/FMCG experience and knowledge of merchandising and promotion principles
- Knowledge of stock management techniques
- Excellent customer service knowledge
