Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Communication skills
- fluent in English (any other language would be advantageous)
- Tenacity
- High energy levels
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented
- Previous retail experience would be desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers – Assist shoppers in locating the goods and products they want – Respond to customer inquiries/concerns.
- Cashier duties include: processing cash and card payments, processing Lay Bys, and processing customer refunds, as well as reporting anomalies and difficulties to the supervisor.
- Merchandising – Ensure stock is accurately priced and presented – Ensure product availability on the shop floor – Housekeeping – Maintaining promotions.
- Risk – Ensure that products are labeled in accordance with corporate policy – Take part in stock takes – Keep an eye out for shoplifters and fraudulent activities and report any suspicious behavior to Management.
- In all facets of your work, consistently live the Ackermans principles, policies, and procedures.
