Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to give customers a good purchasing experience. – Assist shoppers in finding the items and products that they are looking for. Attend to client inquiries and complaints.
- Cashier duties include processing cash and card payments, Lay Bys, client refunds, reporting anomalies and problems to the supervisor, and balancing the till.
- Merchandising – Ensure that stock is accurately priced and presented – Ensure product availability on the sales floor – Housekeeping – Staying current with promotions.
- Risks include ensuring that products are tagged in accordance with corporate rules, participating in stock takes, keeping an eye out for shoplifters and fraudulent activities, and reporting any suspicious behavior to management.
- Adhere to the Ackermans ideals, policies, and processes in all parts of your work.
Skills And Experience
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Communication skills: proficient in English (any other language would be great).
- Tenacious.
- High energy levels.
- Highly motivated and goal-driven experience
- Previous retail experience would be beneficial.
Requirements
- A South African citizen.
- Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
- Have completed/passed Grade 12 (matric).
- Unemployed.
- Not studying at another tertiary institution.
- Not be registered for any other learnerships.
