Job Description
The goal of the post is to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
Across all regions and departments.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- General cleanup of designated regions.
- Empty and wash waste containers, transport waste to designated pickup places.
- Sweeping and mopping floors.
- Carpeted surfaces can be suction cleaned or “spot” cleaned.
- After getting suitable instruction and training, use electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to clean floors, including burnishing and spraying.
- Clean furniture, ledges, window sills, cupboards, shelves, and fittings by dusting, moist wiping, washing, or polishing.
- Replace consumable products (e.g., soap, toilet paper) as needed.
- Clean the toilets, urinals, hand basins, and drinking fountains.
- Specialized cleaning for showrooms, collections, and corporate buildings.
- Warehouse racking and stacking areas require specialised cleaning.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (or similar) is strongly preferred.
- Direct work experience in a similar capacity within the same or related businesses.
- Proficiency in using industrial cleaning equipment.
- Basic health and safety qualifications/first aid training is preferred.
- High energy levels.
- Sober Habits.
- Professional and presentable.
- Ability to work overtime if necessary.
- Punctual, courteous and hardworking.
- Excellent attention to detail, and high-quality cleaning
- Ability to communicate professionally and helpfully with both personnel and the general public.
- Excellent verbal communication abilities.
- A team player and self-starter.
- Excellent self-motivation.
