Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies need an experienced Cleaner. You will be responsible for keeping the store clean and neat according to Dis-Chem’s hygiene requirements. The areas will contain the store floor, stockroom, dispensary, administrative office, and canteen.

Job Specifications

  • Prior to the store’s opening, maintain a high degree of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store, shop floor, and common areas.
  • Create procedures to keep all parts of the store tidy.
  • Keep the canteen and restrooms clean and stocked with the appropriate materials at all times.
  • Be accessible during operating hours to clean up as needed.
  • Ensure that the appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment are utilized for specified assignments.
  • While cleaning the floor, make sure the wet floor sign is up and visible at both ends.
  • Be friendly, professional, and able to help customers.
  • Perform duties in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • A minimum of six months’ cleaning experience.
  • Strong English proficiency and basic customer service skills.
  • Additional language that is area-specific
    Willing and capable of working retail hours
  • Bilingual
  • Previous retail store cleaning experience

  • Previous cleaning experience.
